REPORT
- advantages/disadvantages
- discuss a topic
- problem/solution
- cause/effect

REPORT-ARGUMENT
 - argument 1 + argument 2 + opinion

OPINION
- agree/disagree
- to what extend do you agree

Esempio di traccia: Children in many countries are eating more fast food and convenience snack. Why are children doing this and how serious are the consequenses?

Introduction (1 paragraph)

  • Knockout introductory sentence
  • Paraphrase the question/topic
  • Signpost you essay (i.e.: This essay will discuss...)

Main body (2 paragraphs)

  • Each paragraph must contain:
  1. Topic sentence (an introductory statement about the main idea of this paragraph)
  2. Statement (the main argument in this paragraph)
  3. Supporting statement (information/evidence which support your statement)
  4. Examples (one or two examples to illustrate your argument)
  5. Round up sentence (mini conclusion, which sums up your argument)
Conclusion (1 paragraph):
  • Summarise you main body argument
  • Round up sentence

Esempio di traccia: Some people say that friends are more important than families in today's world; other say that family is always more important. Write in support of one of the views.

  5. Round up sentence (mini conclusion, which sums up your argument)
Conclusion (1 paragraph):
  • Summarise you main body argument
  • Restate your opinion and justify your reasons
  • Round up sentence

Esempio traccia: Buying fashionable clothes is wasteful because people don't need new clothes all the time. Clothing should be bought and used more wisely. Do you agree?

Articolo UTILISSIMO!

Grazie Roberto, ottimo davvero!
